Smoking is NOT allowed, and drugs of any kind are NOT permitted. If you smoke inside the house, you will be charged $250, plus the increase in cleaning fees, plus any damages. In addition, firearms are NOT allowed on the property. Aside from the guests agreed upon during booking, any additional persons in the property are the guest's sole responsibility. No additional guests may stay overnight beyond the agreement. Guests are not allowed to exceed the occupancy limit agreed to with the reservation. No more than eight people are allowed in the house at any time. If the occupancy limit is exceeded, you may be evicted, and all payments and deposits will be not be refunded. Please get in touch with us in advance if you would like to arrange to accommodate more guests. Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors. No parties or events are allowed. Please remember this is our home. Leave the windows and doors closed at all times when they are not in use. Small critters and large critters alike will come in if they have a way to enter. Homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises. Additionally, the homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. Homeowners are also not responsible for any damage or injuries that occur while utilizing the boat dock or firepit. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests expressly assume the risk of any harm arising from their use of the home. DO NOT LEAN OR STAND ON RAILINGS INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE. Keep the property and all furnishings in good condition. Removing any items from the house, including living and kitchen furnishings, is not allowed. Pets are NOT allowed. If this rule is violated, then you will be charged $250, plus any damages or additional cleaning necessary. You will also be asked to leave. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the home, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. This home will be cleaned before your check-in and after your departure. Please do not take any linens or towels from the house. Check-out is at 10 am. Before you leave, we ask that the items outlined on the check-out page be completed to help our housekeeper quickly prepare for the next guest. Absolutely NO fires besides in the firepit! Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $50 plus damages. Water and Septic: The house is on a septic system. This system is in good order; however, it will malfunction if improper material is flushed. Therefore, DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper, including feminine products. If it is found that feminine products or other materials have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $1000. Weather: No refunds will be issued for inclement weather or road conditions. Country roads can be curvy and steep. We recommend a four-wheel-drive vehicle during the winter season. Damage: Any damage to any items in the house, including any furniture, TVs, beds, sheets, towels, pillows, etc., are the renter's responsibility. Every item will be inspected before arrival and after departure. If you do cause damage, notify the owner immediately. Failure to comply with the above rules will result in a non-return of the security deposit and possible additional charges. By booking through this platform, you consent to all items listed under the "House Rules."
